Are Universal Tickets Transferrable?

We're taking our first trip to Universal soon and would like to do one park with my MIL and the other with my FIL. They both live in Florida, and I noticed that the Florida special is buy one day, get the second day free. Can we do this and let my MIL use it the first day and FIL the second? Thanks for your help. I've enjoyed all of the great info on these boards!
