Are tickets "upgradeable"?

Hi all! I bought my children the 5-day passes through the Kraft link for our upcoming trip in May. Since we now realize that the Mummy ride will not be open until after our trip, we are planning to take another trip in the fall (yea!!). My DH and I already have AP's, but can we turn in our kids' unused 5-day passes and pay the difference to upgrade to an AP for each of them? I know Disney does that, but not sure about Universal.

Yes they will upgrade. I would do that right away before you use any days on the tickets. I wouldn't count out riding Mummy though, since they are doing soft openings now.
