Are those new light weight tennis shoes good for Disney walking?

For those of you who have worn the GoWalks, how is the heel on them? I typically wear flat shoes with no heel rise to them thanks to IT band issues. Last time we went to Disney I wore sneakers and switched out to Crocs flip flops in the afternoons and had no problems but that was in May. I'm not sure that I'll be able to get away with flip-flops in early November so I'm weighing my options.

Unless your feet are prone to getting cold very easily, you should be fine for flip flops in early Nov. It can be in the 80s still during that time and most certainly the high 70s. It doesn't usually cool off into the lower 70s until mid-late November.

I don't know about the go walks. None of them fit me right or felt good when I tried them on. But, Altras are light, yet very cushioned with a 1:1 heal to toe ratio. They also have a very roomy toe box. If you do look into them, make sure you go to their website and do their fit suggesting tool.

I love my new balance light weight tennis shoes. They work great at WDW.

My main problem at WDW is getting heat rash around my ankles.

I work at a hotel on my feet walking and walking min of 8 hrs a day..

Trust me when I say go to a running store and buy shoes that fit your feet. Buy last years model if you can, that will save you little money.

60 days before your go.

My favorite are arch support kind.

Current ones are brooks adrenaline gts 14.

Cool Max socks are nice too.

I find Go Walks to be very comfortable for a few hours, but I know I wouldn't do well in them for an entire park day. I need more arch support and thicker soles than the Go Walks provide. I feel like I'm almost barefoot, which some people love, but I don't! I can wear them for a day at work (6 hours in a preschool classroom, lots of standing and moving around).

For the parks, I do well with very supportive sneakers. I currently have a pair Nikes that I wore all over Las Vegas this summer with no blisters. My feet were hardly sore at the end of the day. I will be taking them to Disneyland this December, but leaving the Go Walks at home.
