Are they still charging 10.00 for prefered buildings?

If they are is that one fee of 10.00 or is that 10.00 per night? If they are still doing that, do they charge a fee if you ask for a certian location like close to the main pool or food court? Thanks for any info.

When I was thinking about staying at the All Star Movies, I asked the CM about this. It was $10.00 extra a night to be in the Fantasmic Building. I think this is closest to the pool/food court. However, my understanding is that some of the other buildings are not very far either, so it isn't really worth it to pay the extra $$ (unless you really want to stay in this building.) You can make requests for other buildings, etc with no extra charge. I know all the All Stars each have a preferred building. However, not sure if this applies to any other resorts.

Right now it is just the Allstar resorts, but there was a post a while back indicating that the Caribbean Beach Resort would be doing the same starting next year. I am not sure about the other moderates.

I believe its just the All Stars right now....and honestly, the $10 a night really isn't worth it. We just had a preferred room in Fantasia 2000 and I think most of the Toy Story rooms were closer to the pool and food court. The All Star resorts aren't all that sprawling compared to the moderates.....they have more rooms in less space because they are taller and the rooms are smaller.

All the other resorts generally price rooms based on view. At the moderates you can pay more for a water view and the deluxe resorts each have their own special views...lagoon, savannah, pool, etc...

Actually at the Moderate resorts a room closer to the food courts, etc... would be an advantage and I'd be surprised if they don't start charging for this. I mean, valet parking at the deluxe resorts used to be free and they charge for that now.....
