Are they rethinking BCV studios after BWV rehab reaction?

VWL studio with 2 closets? We've never had that in a studio there. It's been the exact same layout as BWV with both connecting in the living area and one closet by the bathroom sink. BCV has at least some, if not all that connect by the entry door if your thinking of those but I'm not remembering if there were 2 closets.

I checked into a connecting studio at VWL with the door between the living room door (which seemed to be a terrible idea for anyone with children)

Due to a broken shower, we were eventually moved to a "dreaded dumpster" view studio at the very end of the hall, but it was a dedicated studio with a plan a lot like this (of course furniture has now changed)

Since "dumpster" was really laundry carts, (not that bad) the advantages of quiet from being an end unit and dedicated studio outweighed the slight view penalty.

IMO they only care if it hurts sales. If the issues were picked up in the media or somehow in a forum larger than the DIS. They don't seem to do things because they should or because they want to run a timeshare that is well kept. We continue to report negative issues as if they don't know about them already. I really had a wake up call when a member satisfaction CM was honest and told me that they don't have any power over the resorts and all they do is make note of our contacts and that little if anything get done from us contacting them.

I realize that sales are important to them and to us actually but I give them more credit than that though I do agree there are a lot of things that could be done better. I don't believe it's because of sales focus alone, more ineptness than anything else from a maintenance standpoint.

Why would any company put up with known ineptness, doesn't say much for Disney's management ability. Isn't Disney Institute well known for training other companies on how to run their businesses, leadership and business excellence?

Exactly, the reality is that most of this stuff really isn't any more difficult to do correctly than poorly. It's simply a lack of effort, planning and attention to detail. Everyone else that I know cares about their ratings within RCI and/or II. Most approach it pretty much like the car dealerships do, begging and lobbying for high ratings.

IMO DVC doesn't really care what members think. The rooms will be occupied if the rooms are rehabbed, not rehabbed or painted orange.

The BCV delay was probably due to needed inventory as they blocked BWV rooms for the rehab there and moved guests from VWL and WL for the construction there. We were booked at VWL and they offered to move us to BCV.

The dedicated studios did cross my mind but since you mentioned the closet due to the connecting door location I did not think you were referring to that. Never had one there but did hear they have 2 closets. I'm not certain about the first room you had. Every connecting door we've had at VWL has been in the living area, at the end by the sliders.
