Are they renovating rooms at BLT?

We have a reservation coming up in April and I just got a letter stating, "we are currently in the process of renovating rooms at Bay Lake Tower…it is possible that you may see and hear construction taking place."

I'm confused…this is the first I am hearing of this. Should I be worried? We are staying in a 1 bedroom TPV.

Looks like the colors are a bit more subdued than what they are now? I've never stayed there, but from what I recall of past pictures.

The letter doesn't even mention the pool! It specifically talks about renovating the rooms.

There will still be workers going in/out of the rooms. They will most likely be moving furniture around so they can paint and they should also be replacing carpeting. So there is still the potential for some noise from the room refurbishment.

As for the Bay Cove Pool:

Bay Cove Pool at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort will be closed for enhancements from Monday, February 1 to Friday, March 18, 2016. The Main Pool at Disney's Contemporary Resort will remain open for your enjoyment during this refurbishment period.

The end date for the pool is prior to the OPs arrival date.

It looks like that they are removing the wall color behind the bed and changing the carpet to what looks more of a blue too. Definitely more neutral, except the artwork still has color, thank goodness.

The thing I am very happy to see is that it looks they are adding sheers to the windows.
