Are they hair wraps or braids on the ship and at CC?

My girls really want a braid (a single, tiny braid) ... do they offer this on the ship or at CC, or are they wraps like at WDW? Also, if they are braids ... what is the cost?

I didn't see anything on the ship, but I did see some at CC. My girls weren't interested so I can't tell you about price. There were 2 or 3 ladies there to braid. From what I saw back on the ship, most females got braids back about 1/2 way and then beads and then their hair was free.

It is done near the Cove on Deck 9. There are usually 2 ladies there doing braiding. It cost $2 a braid. On the first morning after departing you can go up and sign up for a time. It usually takes 30 minutes.

Pricing starts at $1/braid, $2/cornrow and hair wrapping was $2/inch. I think the braids and cornrows were based on the length of hair, so longer hair would be a bit more than shoulder length hair.

I knew I should have taken a pic of the price sign at Castaway Cay.
You can make an appt. on the ship if you want to have it done there. Whenever DD had her hair braided we always took our own comb.

What is the difference between a braid, cornrow, and a hair wrapping? does anyone have pictures?

I think these are corn rows cause they are on head, braid are down your back if you know what I mean

My girls had their hair braided on our last cruise and loved it!!
If you want their hair to stay "looking great", take some clear hair gel and a bandana or scarf with you to cover their heads at bedtime.
This will help keep their braids from getting fuzzy and keep the braids looking good. Also, spray suntan lotion is a must since their exposed scalps will be prone to sunburns!
