Rookie question - We bought SSR last year and were given those vouchers as perks -are they true AP's and can I reap the discounts from them? Im thinking specifically of the Alamo discount and how I would prove that Im an AP holder if I only have vouchers... thanks :wave2:

You need to exchange the vouchers for real APs to get the discounts.

AP Vouchers are not true APs. They first need to be activated at WDW. When you activate the AP, it will come in a sleeve that lists the discounts available to AP holders. Included should be the Alamo discount code.

If you need to rent a car before you have the AP, go to Mousesavers.com and search for Alamo discount codes. I suspect you can find just as good a deal without the AP code.

You'll need to exchange the vouchers (at one of the parks or at Guest Relations in DD) for the actual pass. Your year of admission starts on the day you do the exchange.

Not sure what you have to do to qualify for the Alamo AP discount. My best guess is that you can go ahead and book your car with the discount and just show them the voucher at pick up (if they even ask for it). I doubt you need any specific numbers from an Actual AP to book - just the Alamo codes associated with the discount.

Best wishes -

The value listed for these vouchers says like $389ish... or something like that....

So can we use them to get PAP, instead of the APs?
