Are these restaurants good choices? Any changes you would make???

If you have kids, Sci-Fi is definitely a must-do! It's great! As for Coral Reef, I've heard some bad things about it recently. Some great places in Epcot are Chefs de France, Tutto Italia, and Nine Dragons.

oh, i am jealous! you have several i would LOVE to eat at *again :lmao:
the only thing i would change is Ohana's ....not much of a fan, if you were to do dinner at mgm, i'd suggest brown derby OR 50's :goodvibes

i think it's a great thing that Disney has so many options for people, and I undestand that everyone's tastes are sooooo varied, but I am so shocked at how many people think Chefs de France is great! It was absolutely one of the most disgusting places I've ever eaten, Dis or otherwise, with AWFUL service, HORRID food, and ZERO appealing atmosphere. That said, if you have ever actually eaten beef in France (and I have) I suppose you would think CdF is authentic since beef is so gross there too...LOL
To each his own I guess! :-)

On your list, I've been to Sci Fi and Coral Reef. Coral Reef's food was ok but if you have kids, it's a great experience due to the cool tank. DH asked to go back but I wanted to try other places in Epcot and we both liked Biergarten more. We won't be returning this trip, but will in the future.

Sci Fi is good in terms of food if you stick to basics like the sandwiches or burger. I didn't love the atmosphere because the film clips got on my nerves. Also the service wasn't great. However, it's inexpensive and the food isn't bad. It's a good choice for paying OOP if you want to add in a Signature or an extra TS meal. That said, on our DHS day, we're either doing Mama Melrose for lunch (OOP) or Kouzzina for dinner (haven't decided yet). I wouldn't really rush back to Sci Fi.

I like Rose and Crown and also the one in Germany(Biergarden) over oral Reef I am going to try the Clam Bake at the Beach Club this year for dinner one night and the Yachtman's Steakhouse for another night. First time for these for me but they come highly reommeded from the people on the Dis.

I've been to Rose and Crown, Coral Reef and Biergarten at EPCOT (in addition to Akershus) and I liked the food at Rose and Crown better than Coral Reef. Biergarten is a buffet, so there's something for everyone. The food isn't amazing but you won't leave hungry. It was DH's and my #1 return choice for March though because the atmosphere is SO much fun!

I am having some second thoughts about the restaurants I have booked for our trip in January 2011. We do not have the park hopper option, so I will also say what day we will be in each park. We also have the dining plan, so cost is not an issue!!

Day 1: Magic Kingdom (Dinner - Crystal Palace)
Day 2: MGM (Lunch - Sci-Fi Dine In Theater)
Day 3: Epcot (Dinner - Coral Reef)
Day 4: AK (Dinner - Boma)
Day 5: MK (Breakfast - Chef Mickey's)
Day 6: Epcot (Dinner - Le Cellier)
Day 7: MGM (Dinner - 'Ohana)

I am definitely keeping Crystal Palace, Boma, Chef Mickey's, Le Cellier and 'Ohana. I'm unsure about Sci-Fi and Coral Reef. Thoughts on the food, environment, and diversity of the places I've chosen???

Thanks!

\Boma is awesome!! Le Celiier is very hard to get into so definitely keep that! ;) We had dinner at Coral Reef a couple weeks ago and it was really good! We had a table right along the aquarium glass wall and the food was delicious! I had the Sea Bass and it was perfectly prepared. We also ate at Cat Cora's on the Boardwalk and it was very pretty inside, the service was excellent and the food was delicious! Chefs de France is very good and it had a romantic feel when we went a year ago. The Biergarten is a lot of fun and the food was tasty. It is a buffet so you get plenty of options. :) We have been to Cape May's; it was good and is certainly a unique buffet offering clambakes.
