Are there vip areas in the parks for DVC members?

I remember reading a long time ago about an area for DVC members at Epcot that was indoors and had refreshments. Is this true and do other parks have any perks for us?

No, but during December, there will be specific DVC gatherings with refreshments and characters outside Epcot's International gateway.

I think you may be confusing this with the old AP guest area in EPCOT. It was in The Land and had some places to sit and relax, and free soda. It was for AP holders only, but not very well publicized so it wasn't overcrowded. They discontinued it a couple of years ago. It sure was nice to have an air conditioned area to relax during our summer visits!
