Are there still VIP lounges in Epcot?

Hello, all.

A dear friend of mine was an executive at Exxon, and invited me as a guest (years ago) to visit the Exxon VIP lounge at their Future World Exhibit, behind the attraction. It was for registered VIP's only. There, we received refreshments and a back-door entrance directly onto the attraction -- the UNiverse of Energy.

But what was amazing was -- we also received VIP passes to back door to all the other corporate sponsored Future World lounges who also participated.

A few years later, I heard they limited entry to one or two others.

Does this still exist today? What are the policies? My friend still works there! Before I call and ask a favor, I'd like to know -- if it's not worth it, I don't want to impose.

Thanks,
Mehudicka

Exxon has pulled out sponsorship of the Universe of Energy exhibit, but employees are still able to get discount tickets. As long as the Exxon name is up, I am sure you can go on into the VIP lounge and have a soda pop and relax. Good luck

As of last year, there is was a lounge in Spaceship Earth sponsored by AT&T. That sponsorship is gone but I don't know about the lounge.

GM still has a lounge at test track.

Exxon lounge, don't know if it is still available.

Kodak still has lounge for Honey I shrunk the audience.

There is a lounge is the American Pavilion

McDonald's has a lounge at the Dinosaur ride at AK.

FedEx had a lounge at Space Mountain but that sponsorship is now gone as well so don't know if the lounge is still open.

Don't know if HP has a lounge at Space.

If you don't mind asking your friend for the VIP passes, then go ahead and do it. The worse that can happen is that he says that he can't get the passes anymore. Give it a try. If you can get the passes, be sure to let me know which lounges are in fact still available.

Some of the VIP lounges are still open, but they are no longer giving out passes to the others under the reciprocal agreement.

I only know about the GM lounge at TT, you must show a current GM - ID (although I've read that retirees, GM car sales, and related auto suppliers like Delphi can get in with specific GM id cards also). In the lounge they offer soft drinks and coffee, restrooms and comfy chairs. There is a viewing area into the ride and a large window that overlooks the front of the ride area into Epcot. When you are ready to go on the ride the hostess calls down for you then you go down stairs on a back elevator and they let you into the front of the line. Very nice GM perk.

There was a AP lounge at The Land pavillion when we were there in 2002, don't know about that anymore.

Back when my dad worked for Metropolitan Life, we were able to visit the lounge for MEt employees in the Wonders of Life pavillion which was sponsored by Met. They had free soft drinks and cake, a bathroom and carousel horses for the kids to play on while we waited for the next ride (which was awesome as the line was quite long!). I don't know if it is still there, but I remember it being VERY tucked away within the pavillion and there was a big sliding silver door guarding it...very Star Trek.

there's still a vip lounge at the living seas -- that's where we had our wedding reception. :teeth:

When we took the behind the scenes tour in May we went into the LIving Seas lounge. It was set up for a wedding reception. Was that for you?

The CM said that the lounge was the biggest one in Epcot.

We visited the AP VIP lounge in the Land in Sept 2002...just days before they closed it down. A great perk. It was very well-hidden (a secret code for the elevator buttons) and a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle.
