We're on the 8/8/05 West Coast to the Mexican Riviera.
Are there snacks such as chips, candy available on board?
Has anyone brought them onboard? Our kids, especially DD, age 5 will be
asking for them.
They are probably for sale on the ship but we just brought a bag of them for the trip. The kids didn't eat much of them on the ship but they were great when we walked around in port.
they did have chips...came with the sandwiches from room service! not sure about candies. oh, i think i recall seeing them being sold in front of the theater. yes, popcorn & m&ms & such.
i read that you can bring in your own liquor, i don't see why you wouldn't be able to bring in your own munchies...
when we went, we flew in...had a little bag (size of those little starbuck bags, with handle) filled with snacks (fruit snacks, some crackers, gonola bars, etc.) that i was carrying in plain sight! (just for "easy access" purposes, for our then DSs 2 & 4) they didn't stop us from boarding the ship!! and if they did, i would've just tossed the bag out!
I do not know if you have heard of Shirley at THe Perfect Gift? Her website is the perfectgift.cc and you can see a variety of baskets she does...We had some done for our children, and each had some sand toys, and was filled with candies, and chips of our choosing...She is absolutely fantastic to work with..You give her your price...
THis worked out great. No having the headache of lugging it, and they had a nice surprise when we opened the room door...
HTH
her number is on the site..She is truly helpful..
Heck bring them with you. When we checked in the porters we loading cases of costco water as checked luggage onto the cart. Bring it with you and save your self the $$$$$.
But fruit is plentiful, free and of course healthier.
