I was just there a few weeks ago to check out the ballrooms myself... wasn't a huge fan (maybe I'm just not a ballroom person?) I really liked the outdoor spaces, I would probably do one of the outdoor spaces myself but my fiancé's one request was that he didn't want to be hot! Inside and AC it is! I think with the right décor/lighting packages the ballrooms would be nice, guess it just depends on how much you want to spend.

Great, Thanks! Are you doing an Escape Wedding too or a Wishes Wedding? Did you have a meeting set up with someone to see the ballrooms/other locations? My brother and Fiance are having an Escape wedding and they would like to see other cake cutting ceremony locations. but I've heard that they don't do "in person" planning for Escape weddings

We had ours on Commanders Terrace which is where they always used to hold them before the DVC construction. It's a great location if you don't have too many people as it's outside but shaded. Photos from Carrie's website:

I am doing a wishes wedding.. I didn't plan a site visit but I live about 2 hours away from disney so I kind of just snuck around the grand Floridian one day when we were playing at the parks. I was trying to get my fiancé excited about what the wedding might look like... The cast members were great though, when I walked into the entrance of the ballrooms I just told them we were getting married next April and asked if there were any rooms available for me to peak in and see. They even pointed me in the direction of a ballroom that had just been finished being set up for a reception so I got a pretty good idea of what a finished product looked like. The other locations I had seen pictures of so when I stumbled upon them I already kind of knew what to expect. I snapped some pictures of the ballroom I just can't post pictures on here yet... Let me know if you want me to send them to you
