Are there any specific luggage rules or restrictions?

I am on a northwest mailing list, and today I received an email about weight of luggage. It used to be that luggage could weigh up to 70 lbs, but now anything between 50 and 70 will be assessed an additional fee of 25 bucks. Check out www.nwa.com for all the details for northwest...

You can check 2 bags per person and carry on one additional bag in addition to a person item, such as a purse. In your documents there are 2 luggage tags for each traveler. I think they said no checking of glass, liquids, etc. No weapons....basic rules. One thing that did stand out was no dive knives in either checked or carry on's( if you are a scuba diver.)

If you are flying and using Disney transfers, put the tags on at home. If you are flying and not taking the DCL transfers, wait to put them on until after you have claimed your luggage from the airport.

There were no restrictions on the number of bags to LEAVE the ship, however. They just want you off! Unlimited luggage tags for that end of the trip.

Cheryl, We have taken the autotrain 3 or 4 times now; twice before our DCL cruises. Worked out well; however, we are flying this Dec. 28 for our cruise. It was nice getting to Florida in two hours as opposed to 18 hrs. on the autotrain. But it certainly was an experience. My kids really liked it. Barb
