Are there going to be any new items for HSM2?

Just like some others have said, I believe between pirates and HSM Disney is completely milking this whole movie.

ROFL!! :rotfl2:

That's the best laugh I've had in a while. Thank you. Gotta love naive kids.

But my HUGE problem with 1 and 2, is that is pay (sp) and her brother are so rich, which is proven in hsm2 by the country club being owned by their parents, then why are they attending public school???

Sure, it's Disney, so it's all fantasy anyway, but I thought the same thing about the boarding school. Any kid who buys Prada and Jimmy Choo (and the "Fabulous" number was the best in the show, btw!!) would not be going to public school.

But if they were all so special, their sphere of influence and ambition (the main boy is not plausible as a basketball star, although he has a lot of charisma as a schlocky boy band product) would go beyond someplace called the U of Albuquerque, wouldn't it? Lol.

Add to that the fact that the rest of the kids live in MANSIONS, even the girl with a single mom, and yet they are supposed to be "scrimping and saving" and not able to send their kids to college without scholarships??? Puh-leese!

Another thing that bugs me is that in the first movie Troy and Gabriella didn't even kiss each other! Look, maybe they didn't because it was a "G" movie but hey come on its High School!

Well, they kept trying but kept getting "interrupted," so the kiss at the end was the "climactic" moment (although it had no impact because I was not rooting for them as a couple.) I kept thinking those kids were hormone deficient. And yet I was glad they didn't kiss, as they had absolutely no chemistry together. Who cast that movie?? Bad!! Troy and Sharpay made a way better-looking couple, and Blandy-Mc-Can'tDance (Gabriela, aka MumbleBlah) should have been paired with Ryan.

Why couldn't Gabriela leave the lead roles in the musicals to those who really cared and worked really hard, anyway? I didn't like her from the get-go for stealing leads she didn't deserve. Not a well-thought-out plot for either movie. Her singing wasn't "all that," and she did not have the whole package, so it is like telling kids via the heroine that they are entitled to something they made absolutely no effort to achieve. At least the hero worked on his sport, if not his singing. Bleh.

As for Sharpay, seriously, who names their daughter after a dog and doesn't even spell it right? Nevertheless, Sharpay stole the show. Troy had some talent in each movie, and Ryan got some time in the sun in this one, but Gabriela was a complete washout.

And speaking of sun, too much tanning, people!

I want the Simba/Zac Efron lake feature in my room. :rotfl2:

I'm sorry, but that was a horrible movie. :lmao:
i agree 100% horrible and way over acted in my opinion.

i kinda hope nothing comes out but i'm sure something will, but i'm still waiting for my potc 3 stuff so who knows.

Honestly, I'm going to try (like i have to) not to watch the sequal, for if i do and don't even watch it, my tv will still count as a person and make the ratings more high, making them want to squeez a little bit more juice out of this lame movie set. And by the way, for some reason i had a gut feeling if Ryan wore pink so much in most of the movie and had THAT kind of outfits all the time.. i feel there is "something" up with him.. or hey aybe his sister just dressed him or something. Anyhow, I'll try to resist (lol) trying to watch the second movie. lol.

Even though the movie is the most watched thing on basic cable (as if zac efron's head could get any bigger), It does not change my opinions on the movie. Back on topic however, Keep a movie that makes me insane out of a game that keeps me sane.

HSM2 was absolutely horrible, but too many kids have been brainwashed by the franchise to actually realize that. I hope that there are no more HSM items.

I just watched this movie with my 10 year old today, and, it was not that bad actually. These movie remind me 100% of Grease. Nothing wrong with them, but not my cup of tea. I would much rather my kids be watching these kinds of things than Spongebob or "Superbad"

I just watched it tonight (I saved it to DVR) and I thought it was a nice movie for its intended audience. You can say what you want about it, but it earned the highest ratings as the most watched cable broadcast in history.

I know some kids who drove Corvettes to school, or they had a different car for everyday..

Trust me rich people go to public schools.. because they don't have to spend money on education until college.

oh.. yeah I forgot to add that,

only Chorus members, and a few drama people would ever randomly break out into song..
( yes I was one of them a few times, but it was never loud enough that the entire school joined in!)

These movies are so unrealistic in the way all schools run.. like on their last day of school they should be taking exams, not sitting thorugh a lecture.

Oh and, nobody would ever be caught at school after the last bell rang. We all run out as soon as possible!
