thank you for the info. its bank one saying no go. They say I had to rec a code in the mail to get the deal. I think I'll try one last time (just because it's such a great deal) again, thank you for your in put it helps with the frustration Im feeling.
This is my first post. This discussion group has helped me so much in planning my first trip to WDW in August. I would like to return the favor.
I too applied for the Disney Visa in February. As soon as I received the credit cards, I called to activate them and then asked to speak to customer service. I asked if I qualified for the 7/4, sometimes called the acquisition promotion, discount. The representative put me on hold and then came back and told me that we did NOT! I told her that we had applied for the card because of that promotion, intimating that we would send the card back if we did not get it. I asked her on what basis we did not qualify for the offer since we had applied in February and we were going to book before the deadline? She put me on hold again and when she came back she told me that she had made a mistake, we DID qualify! I asked if we needed a code since we did not have a postcard and she said that we did not because Disney had a list of all of those people who qualified for the offer.
A few days later I called Disney travel and made our reservations. There was no problem getting the 7/4 deal. They just had to check the numbers on our card to be sure that they were on the list. I got the confirmation letter yesterday and the code that they use is ZXRA / ZXRA-Disney's Visa Feb ACQ DM. Keep in mind that I have never ever received any kind of postcard or notice of this discount in the mail so don't be afraid to ask for it even if you don't receive a postcard, providing that you applied for and were granted the card during the promotion period. Existing card holders do not qualify.
FYI: We booked a standard room at one of the moderate resorts with the dream maker package. Total cost for two adults for 7 nights and the dream maker package including UPH tickets was $1,194.04. That saved us a bundle!
My advice is that if Disney Visa still says no, go ahead call and speak to Disney travel. If you get a knowledgeable person, they should be able to tell you if you qualify for the discount. My guess is that you do. When I called Disney Travel I said that I wanted to speak to someone who was familiar with the 7/4 promotion because I would be using that.
Good luck!
