I know they have deluxe rooms at WL and most of them are at the end of the resort near the lake.

Do they have any deluxe rooms on the Concierge floor?

I know they have the 2 big suites but was wondering what is at the end of the wings on the 7th floor.

Any info is appreciated.

I don't think so; I have a deluxe room booked for late Dec/early Jan; when I asked CRO if concierge was available for the deluxe rooms, I was told no. Seems like I've read that the honeymoon suites are located on the 7th floor at the end of the wing where the deluxe rooms would normally be. Not positive on that though.

I used to work at WL, so here's the scoop. Rooms are ALL the same on the 7th floor as they are on any other floor. The only difference are 4 honeymoon suites, and the Yosemite and Yellowstone suites (our Pres and VP suites). The main difference is in amenities- turndown, triple sheeted beds, robes, refrigerators, etc.

HOWEVER...in terms of a deluxe room, we do have junior suites. For those people familiar with the hotel, you pass by a bathroom and then a sitting area, and to the side there are french doors opening into the bedroom area w/ 2 queen beds. These are located at the ends of the halls, and are WONDERFUL rooms. Pull out couch in the sitting area, wet bar, etc. I think they are the best deal in the house!

DisneyChick02,

What are the views like for the Jr. Suites? Do any of them have a view of MK fireworks? I'm wondering what to request.

Thanks for the great info!

Sue

There are very few rooms at the lodge that have views of the fireworks....you need to remember that its "wilderness" so we've got lots of trees around to shield you from the outside!! :o) That being said, I believe that NONE of them have firework views, most are at ends of halls so you are looking out at trees and the lake.....which by itself is a beautiful view!! The real gem about the Lodge is that you can almost forget you are WDW, as you are almost entirely surrounded by a gorgeous natural setting. The only ones I remember to have firework views (and that means that when the fireworks are up high enough you can probably see them) are some standard view rooms on the 5-7th floor that are just slightly to the right of Whispering Canyon Cafe. If you are die-hard about viewing fireworks, you can go down to the beach by the marina and stand there....you'll be diagonal to the Contemporary and should get a good view.

Hope this helps!

We watched the fireworks one night from the end of the 7th floor hallway on the north side of where the concierge food is set up. It is before the hallway turns right to go toward the elevators/lake. There are several big windows with interior shutters that we opened to watch. It was a straight on view. We just stumbled upon this area when we were walking back to our room one night.

We had a dormer room on the sixth floor, courtyard view facing toward the MK. Our room was third from the end of the wing and over the roof of the WL we could see the top of the Contemporary. We had a pretty great view of the fireworks.
The Deluxe rooms are on the corners of the very ends of the wings. The wing closest to the MK is surrounded by treess. You might be able to see the fireworks through some of the trees. The wing farther away from the MK looks out over Bay lake to the front and over the Bar and part of the geyser to the left. From the top floor deluxe rooms here you probably could se some of the fireworks.
