Just curious. I stayed at AKL from March 13 to the 20th in jambo house and there were no clocks. I understand everyone has cell phones now but not convenient if you’re not the one sleeping next to the bed stand...

I bought a Westclox travel clock from Amazon, because as stated by Wood Nymph, there are no clocks in the rooms.

Just stayed at POFQ and no clocks in the room...I too have a travel clock I travel with now...

The clocks have been removed from all the the Disney resort rooms.
They did remove most of them a while back, but they are reappearing.

We still usually have the clock radios in our rooms and if not have been able to request one from Housekeeping.

YMMV:)

No clocks. They used to have them but not since last year, I think. I bring an iPad, download a free full screen clock app, plug it in and prop it up at night in front of the TV. It displayed time in huge red digits. The next morning my DS2 said, "Mama, where's the big red clock?" I told him it was the iPad and he wouldn't believe me.

Your room might have one or might not. They did remove them from every room about 2 years ago. However, if you want one housekeeping will bring you one. They will not go back and remove it once it's in place after a guest requests one, except during a room refurb. So if your room has one, a previous guest requested one. If your room doesn't, no previous guests has requested one.

Interesting. They can't take literally 5 seconds and unplug the clock to remove it?

I downloaded Alarm Clock for Me from the App Store. It stays in clock mode all night so I’m not fumbling for my phone during the night to see what time it is.

The Disney station that the TV automatically goes to also has a clock! We have that thing on every time we are in the room because we love the music, but having easy viewing of a clock helps a lot too. While I agree that most clocks are crazy bright at night, I think they should have SOMETHING that tells the time other than phones or the TV. I like to be able to glance at the time quick when I need it, not have to rely on always having my phone on me, but that is just my personal opinion!

If the time on the clock was wrong, it was nearly impossible to change the time unless you happened to have a small screwdriver with you to unscrew the back/bottom of the clock. A wrong clock is worse that no clock at all. Usually, the television program guide has the current time on it, as does the Disney guide channel.
