There is nothing special about buying your AP with your Visa at the park. You can do it online and get the same benefit. The only benefit is the points you earn on your purchase. There are a lot of other benefits to the Visa as mentioned in the link the pp added, but nothing that relates to buying an AP.

And there's no extra perks for spending money at disney either...still, the free pics from the M&G are great!
