Are there ANY special experiences available?

So I’m going with my sister and mom in May, Mother’s Day weekend, and I wanted to plan some sort of special experience for them.

We were supposed to go last Mother’s Day and I had booked a wine tasting event at a resort, but that was obviously cancelled.

Is there anything available that’s an extra add on? Like a food experience or tour or anything? Maybe more things will open up down the line but I just want to see if anyone knew of anything!
I would check to see if High Tea at Grand Floridian Resort is available. I participated in this experience in May 2019 and it was wonderful. The teas, appetizers, and finger foods served during this WDW "extra" was excellent. Have fun with your Mom and sister.

I want to do this one SO bad. But sadly, it’s not happening either.

I would suggest checking back closer to the time you are going to travel. This event is really no different than an "indoor meal" situation. Each party sits with people they know and finger foods are served "family style". I'll keep my fingers crossed they bring this back before your May visit. I don't have a mom or sister to go with. This would be a special memory for your family. I ordered a raspberry tea based off the info I learned at a tea tour at United Kingdom in EPCOT. Raspberry tea was a perfect pairing with the wonderful foods. One of the parties at the event when I attended was a Grandpa with his, wife, daughters, daughters in-laws and older granddaughter. This Grandpa was the best. He toasted kind words to his family. He made a few funny comments throughout the expereince that we all enjoyed from our own tables in close proximity. Per tea events at EPCOT: There is a paid tea event that concludes with scones, and special toppings, and tea at Rose and Crown. I do not remember the name of the tour but it was very very nice. However, there are also "tea events" that take place outside twice a day for free. You just sign up. These are 100 pecent outside with no food. I wonder if they might be available. These were very informative and enjoyable too.

It's more than just the rides. You get your own Disney guide. They can tell you about the parks. They are a wealth of knowledge. I am personally waiting until the parks are fully open again though as they can also get you good seats at shows and things.
Yes. Our guide was wonderful. He also provided us with snacks and drinks. Not sure if they are doing that now though due to Covid.

We have the VIP tour booked at the end of March for DD's 12th Birthday. When I booked, they did tell me that they do not provide snacks or drinks at this time, due to Covid. I think if hitting the rides without the wait is your main focus, then this tour would be a worthwhile splurge. My DH isn't a Disney fan and dislikes standing in ride lines so the cost of this tour is well worth it for us or at least it's worth it for my sanity and my marriage :rotfl2: Hope you have a great family trip.

I am with your DH. I don't know what I will do if they do not bring back Fast Pass!! I am not lines person either. No FP and long lines will make me reevaluate trips to WDW.

We've done the VIP tour about 2 years ago and my kids loved it. I can only imagine how great it would be now with the FP lines empty.
However as another answer to your question I heard about special tequila tastings at la cava del tequila in epcot in the Mexico building. I'm expecting so we have to forego for now but it sounded fun. I believe it's called the Agave experience. I think it's $300 per couple. I'm not sure what the price would be per individual.
