Are there any pulic flower gardens

in the Barrie area which are great for view during mid July on vacation in Ontario?

You have all been so helpful in planning our vacation I thougth I'd push my luck and ask one more question.

I don't know if this is what you are looking for but there is a nice water front park area right in Barrie. If it's a botanical type garden, I don't believe there is such a garden.

Hi Laura,
I am taking my family to Barrie this summer too!. I grew up in Ontario, but have lived in BC the past 26 years. We will be staying at my sister cottage on Lake Simcoe. I did a search for you and I think the "Arboretum" may be the only "gardens" in the Barrie area. The first two links are for the arboretum and the last link has some panorama pictures of various sights in Barrie. Have a look at Sunnidale park, whick is where the Arboretum is and check out Centenial Park, which is the waterfront park.

I can't recommend either park to you, since I haven't been to them either, but maybe someone else can jump in and let you know if they are worth visiting or not.
