Are there any P storms brewing?

Hmmm ... I've just realized that sounds disgusting if you say it out loud.

Anyway, I understand Ophelia is doing her best to create chaos in the Carolinas, but I haven't heard anything about a hurricane (or tropical storm) named Phil or Pete or ... Pluto. Does anyone know if there is a P storm starting to make a name for itself out there?

No, Philippe has not made his presence known yet. There is currently nothing but Ophelia out there (not even a disturbance, knock on wood).

At the moment, it shows Opheilia as the only storm active in the Atlantic.

I'm going to Disney on 9/26, so I'm keeping an watch on this, too!

Just keep in mind that sometimes they pop up from just a small disturbance. Katrina did that. She was barely a "tropical wave" over the bahamas and the day before we were supposed to go to WDW she was suddenly a tropical storm and then hit FL as a hurricane (and of course we know the rest of her devastating history).

I was watching the tropics the whole week before we were supposed to leave and thought we were in the clear. So, just be prepared day to day. We were able to postpone a few days and ended up getting a better rate after having to make a few calls
