Are there any other Deals ~ other than Free Dining?

We are looking at going in October 2012. Does anyone know of any deals that usually comes up during that time? We're not really wanting a September trip even though the free dining is tempting!!!

There is almost always some type of discount. It might be free dining but will probably also be a percentage off discount offered too.

Yeah, we are looking to go in July/August, and the hardest part is waiting to see what deals come out.

We've always gotten some sort of a discount, so I'd still keep checking around.

For my family, we've pretty much decided that we'd prefer now to stay offsite at a Marriott condo (Marriott because we are owners, not in Florida, and DH is platinum so we get night credits to keep his status). We've gotten getaways from Interval International that are amazing, like $350 for a week in a really nice 2 bedroom condo.

Also we've stayed a few times free at the Swan and Dolphin, using our Starpoints.

Got free dining once (along with a nice room discount) but it was more food than we normally eat (regular plan) and all of us sharing one room is too tight now!

I'd check with mousesavers and subscribe to her email updates - check often! Also call Disney and see if there are any unadvertised codes linked to your family. Order the vacation planning DVD online - to get into their system - plus it's fun for young kids to watch! Gets them excited!

I'd also figure out your budget and stick to that. Compare onsite vs offsite (onsite I never needed nor wanted a rental car, so that is a plus, makes the vacation a bit more relaxing, but offsite we enjoy the freedom of a large condo and eating nearby or cooking so saves money.... you see there are arguments for both choices!!).

I know there are codes posted that are public but when I was planning DH and I's trip I went onto the Disney site and saved a trip waiting on deals. Since saving that profile and trip on their website I've gotten 3 personalized pin offers in the mail.

Just something I noticed in addition to the public codes on the Codes/Rates board.
