are there ANY natural/organic sunscreens?

California Baby is the only one I can find locally (I find mine at Target). Earth's best is also good, found in the baby isle.

I have California Baby and Badger Balm sunscreen (30) and bug repellant combined...

Another vote for Badger, they also have a whole line of other great products. I did a quick Google search and found that Bert's Bees also offers a chemical free sunscreen. ;)

go to the environmental working group website and it lists the best/worst sunscreens (most best are organic/chemical free). it also does most beauty products (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and make ups)

Thanks for the EWG idea! I am in the market for some new shampoo/conditioner/sunscreen, so I'll definitely check that out! :thumbsup2

I've tried many brands, and really like Burnout. I order directly from their website, but Amazon also has it. I'm not sure where else you can find it though.

Thanks, everyone! I went with Raw Elements. Looks to be a darn good sunscreen. A bit pricey, though. I read reviews on Badger and some other sticks, and there were some reports of funny smells for the unscented types or that the skin looks blue-ish when applied. My dd's would not like that.

I don't know about organic but the one deemed safe for the dolphins at Discovery Cove is Panama Jack.

We are using Badger lavender and it smells like the unscented stuff after 30 min which is the smell of the inside of a tent on a hot day. Not worth it! Please give a review of the Raw Elements after you try it.

Sorry to have to use an Internet meme here but...

This.

Using EWG's suggestions we have chosen many of our day-to-day beauty/cosmetic products for our 3.5 yo daughter ever since she was born. Including but not limited to: soap, shampoo, and body wash, but most importantly insect spray and sun screen (we use Burt's Bees and Badger, respectively).

Badger is a pain to use but the increased effectiveness and safety make it worthwhile.

I tried Eco Skin Care this year and so far I love it. I bought both the Face type and the Body type. The one for the body is thick and really covers well. The face feels good and goes on much easier. So far, no sunburn and it is eco friendly.

I really love the EWG website as well!

I highly recommend Loving Naturals as well - it is a bit thinner, so it goes on a bit easier.

We also use California Baby and Kinesys too!

Tiger :)
