Hello, there
I hope that this is okay with the moderators, I've been trying to post this question for some time now.
We are the Gonzalez's Family, from Puerto Rico ( USA Territory and USA Commonwealth) and we bought into DVC in 2009 and we love every minute of it!:) We live in the State of Colorado ( like it not love it) Hubby its a Major with the Army Reseves and we have been living in the USA for more that 11 years now..
I would like to know is there any other "international DVC owners out there" In our case we are not international "perse' P.R. it's a USA Teritory. I asked this just out of curiosity and because I have seen a few hispanics families staying @ Saratoga Springs Resort this last March when we were there, and I was pleaseantly surprise!.. I hoping not ofending anyone with my question)
Our home resort it Saratoga Springs, we stayed there twice , and this last March we satyed @ OKW.. We are coming back this December to the AKL Kidani Villas 1 Bed and I can't wait to bring over my mom from Puerto Rico . This is one of the reasons, why we bought into DVC, we are very far away from our families and it makes more sense to meet them in Florida.:grouphug:

I would like to as well how is the bus transportation from AKL TO MK my dd9 has an appt. early morning @ the BBB and I need to plan ahead.
We "felt" in love with WDW in 1994 for our Honeymoon and since then I have been driving DDH crazy and its for a good cause.:love

We have been meeting families from all over the world in the parks, and it's has been a beautiful experience to us and our DD9 and we looking forward to meet more people as well in our future trips.:)

Thanks for reading ( Gracias) Teacher and Proud Army wife .:cool2:

Hi, We are from Britian but live in the USA - does that count:rotfl2:

Our Home resort is Kidani Village. I don't think it has ever took longer than about twenty minutes to get to MK.

I am not an international DVC member, but I just wanted to thank your husband and your family for your service to our country. :flower3:

And to answer your question, I agree with Simjun, from AKV Jambo House or Kidani, about 20 minutes on the bus. Not too bad of a ride though, the buses are speedy!

Hello and Good afternoon;
Yes! It does count to be from England, in fact we just met a family from there, in December 2010 and they are very lovely family! We exchange e-mails and letters and even their dd10 son is writting letters to my DD9 :surfweb: :scared:,, No worries is just an innocent friendship..And romantic at the same time.. She is a very smart little girl and I always keep her " in reality" . Thank you for the info regarding kidani buses I was starting to worry, and I know we will making on time for our appt. @BBB. The good thing is that she still into princesses and despite being a little talller she still like to dress up.:cheer2:. Thank you for all your kinds words, yeah DH is a fighter, and he is about to retire in almost 3 years,( can not wait)
We are looking forward to add some points in the near future and we would like to buy again in S.S. we love in there and DH likes soo much the gym. I would like to know how is the food at Boma and Sannaa, I have been reading such a nice comments, but I am a little afraid to tried, because I have GERD and acid reflux and I do not want to spoiled my family vacation and get sick. any advice will be welcome..

Thank you soo much for your " warm" welcome to this pages and I am looking forward to hear from all of you soon.. God Bless ( gracias) Teacher.:goodvibes

My wife and I are self confessed Disney nuts, and travel to The World (from the UK) twice a year to escape the rat race. We often get stick from our friends who don't understand our obsession (especially given that we have no kids - sadly), but to be frank we're passed caring. We used to stay off site, but over recent years have stayed at POR 3x, SSR 2x, BWV, OKW and Kidani once. We have discussed holidaying elsewhere, but our hearts are with WDW so we keep going back, so in January this year we bought 220 DVC points. We are on a 6 week countdown until our next vacation where we have a segmented stay at BWV, AKV Jambo, BLT MK View, SSR - we can't wait. One of our favorite things to do at Disney is to chat with like minded people like yourselves, and over the years we have met many lovely folks. Perhaps one year we'll have the pleasure to meet you. Cheers.

More Canadians here - and my husband is from Guatemala, so "hola"! I attribute my Disney obsession with the fact that I never got to visit a park until I was an adult - I have been trying to make up for my poor, deprived childhood ever since! :rotfl2:

:cool2:I am soo surprise and pleased to find such a nice and kind people in here. And yes sadly I am guilty of loving WDW so much and drive my pooor and understanding Hubby crazy, I was not able to go when I was little , so I guess I would go now that I am 40 years old adult lady and perhaps see things throught my DD9 eyes.. ( Please be gentle and patience with me; my spelling it's a work in progress, my conversational it's much better):surfweb:,
DDH went to college in Daytona Beach,FL . and he knows WDW from top to bottom; me in the other hand, I never had the chance to go until we went over for our honeymoon in 94'..:lovestruc, and since then I 'm in love with the place.. We are very humble, hardworking middle class family, I am a former Bilingual Preschool Teacher ( I love! children) and DDH is in the Army for almost 17 years now and he is also a former pilot..We are very friendly and we love to get to know people from all over the world.. we are a small world after all anyway..:grouphug:
We will be visiting the world again this next December and will be staying @ the AKL kidani villas 1 bed, for about 10 days. I can't wait to show my mom the sorrounding areas, animals, and the beautiful Chrtimas decorations around the others resorts..
I have a questions, regarding my DDM . She will be coming from P. Rico and she has some mobility issues ( arthritis) Is there any place that I can rent a ECV for her to use during her stay?
And I would like to know how safe and good it's the "Simba Kids Club" I'm having a ressie to California Grill with DDH, and I would like to let dd9 in a safe place, :cloud9:, please advice on this?:worship:..
and to the pp from Canada, DDH Commander family is from Canada as well, what a small world!
It's soo nice to get to people from diferent places and countries.. keep them coming!!
thank you all for your ideas.. and God Bless! Gracias :hippie:

Since the DVC Board here must be kept on topic with DVC discussions, you may want to visit some of our "International" Boards here on the DIS.

We have a board titled "Dis es Espanol" and under "Global Neighbors" we feature boards on the U.K., France, Canada, Australia, Tokyo and Hong Kong.

It's definitely a Small World After All.... :wizard:

:grouphug:;) "No Worries" I understand.. I was just trying to find out here English and spanish speaking DVC members.. And I already know about "the spanish forum" .
It's all good! Thanks to all that responding!! and yes,it's definitely a "small world after all!! :yay:

According to a post in this thread, you are the Garcia family.

According to a post in this thread, you're husband is with the Georgia Army Reserves, not Colorado.

Sounds like somebody has some explaining to do...
:goodvibes :cool1: :thumbsup2 :wizard: :hippie:  :3dglasses  :santa:  :yay:  :teacher: :laundy:  :cheer2: princess:
