Are there any "Holiday Treats" to have in December?

A couple of years ago, there was a cart near Germany in EP that had a mulled wine. At least I think that is what you would call it. It was hot and yummy. They sell the mulling spices and bottle of wine at the wine shop in Germany.

Oh yes, Gluhwien! We got some in Dec 08. Yummy stuff, just like in Germany!

Last year the GF had the chestnuts but the cider was gone.

The shingles at GF are thick and dry.
However, the shingles from the beach club are delicious! They are thinner and have a glaze all over so they stay moist. We met all the chefs who did displays last year and there are differences from location to location on how the treats are finalized.
Our gingerbread house from beach club also stayed moist and delicious for over a month. The gingerbread house we got from the contemporary was hard.

Gingerbread men are available year round at the different candy cases everywhere.

Roaring forks counterservice at Wilderness lodge adds xmas sprinkles to the magic cookie bars. BUT, they are mint flavored! The mint added to the caramel and such of a magic cookie bar made it absolutely horrible (one of my favorite treats ruined). It was bad enough that i took it back and got something different and told them if they are going to decorated them fine, but don't add the mint flavor!

The Earl of Sandwich in DTD Marketplace has a seasonal "Holiday" sandwich. It's like having your Thanksgiving/Christmas turkey dinner on a bun. It is BEYOND delicious. And I think it's only about $5.99!

+1 - this sandwich ROCKS!

How could I have seen the Osbourne lights and totally missed the adult holiday drinks:confused3?? What is wrong with me spiked eggnog is one of my favorite things ever:lovestruc. I am so thankful for this thread with 4 kids and holiday crowds I need an adult beverage:lmao:.

Oh I've read about this recently. Can't wait to try it!

I've heard there is a drink kiosk near Sci-Fi Dine-in as well.

So, I'm gathering from this thread that the Grand Gingerbread Shingles are more a novelty thing than actually delicious. Since I am a gingerbread cookie junkie, what should I get instead?

The gingerbread men from the GF are delicious IMO.

How neat! I hope they continue with the handing out of the Ghirardelli peppermint bark at the exit :goodvibes We're going to two MVMCP's this year so I will get my fill of those, snickerdoodles, and hot chocolate .
