Are there any Gymboree obsessed fans out there?

I walked into our local Gymboree store at the mall once. I took a look at a really cute little onesie thing with ducks on it, looked at the price tag and got the heck out of there!

They looked to have cute stuff but I can't really see spending that kind of money on clothes that DS will outgrow quickly. I do have 1-2 pieces that I bought resale but I even had a problem with most of the Gymboree resale prices because they are so high.

I guess I am the only one who feels that the price is just way too high!

Becka, I felt the same way when my kids were little and wearing Gymboree stuff. I did buy stuff there, but I tried to mostly buy clearance stuff, and then I eventually just stopped buying there all together, I just couldn't justify the money after a while. I used to buy a lot of stuff there and at Baby Gap when my first child was born, and I was a new mom and had to have all of those cute clothes, but then I was just happy to have my kids actually fully-clothed in anything when I was trying to get out of the house, lol!! I do admit Gymboree does have very, very cute clothes, though!!!!

There are email lists you can join where moms trade/sell/buy Gymbo clothes new or used. There is actually more new stuff listed than used. Sometimes they sell for profit and sometimes they will sell stuff at their cost + shipping. Most of the time there are employees on the loops who give heads up on sales and new lines coming out etc. They're pretty neat. There are loops for baby gap, tommy, boutique, old navy, etc. You can join little girl only loops, big girl only, boys only, etc. Good way to find something you are looking for or get stuff cheap!

I LOVE Gymboree!!! Both of my kids almost exclusive wear Gymboree, and it's the BEST stuff!!! I'm starting to get a little sad though, DD is now wearing a Large there, and pretty soon will outgrow Gymboree. When my sister used to be a manager of a Gymboree store, they were talking about of going into the 7-14 market, but with the downturn in the market, they abandoned that plan. BUMMER!!! Now, I'll be left to Gap and Limited Too for her.... And with DS only Gap when he outgrows Gymboree, but luckily, I have a few years left with him!!!

jel, they go up to 3XL now online. Only limited pieces are available but you can buy up to 3XL or 8 Yrs. online!
