Thinking about dragging DH to the movies tonight. Is there anything out there worth seeing? Looking either for a good comedy or an action film. Not too interested in a horror flick or anything 'stupid funny'. Any suggestions?

I still want to see Brokeback Mountain but even more so, I want to see Eight Below, about the dogs stuck in Antartica.

Dh's friend took his wife to see Eight Below and she cried through most of the movie. She said it put her in a bad mood the rest of the day. As far as Brokeback, I don't think I could drag DH to it.

Maybe we'll just go to dinner and stop by Blockbuster. Even PPV has a bad selection this weekend.:guilty:

I saw 16 Blocks today and it was okay.
Block Party is supposed to be good if you're looking for a comedy.

Marie and I saw Eight Below last week, first movie for us in we-don't-know-how-long. We both liked it.

We took the kids to Eight Below this past weekend & we loved it. Is that movie Failure to Launch out yet? that looks good. I can not wait for the Robin Williams movie "RV" looks great.

Last movie we saw was "Walk the Line" I thought it was very good.
Course I LOVED Brokeback Mountain. Took DH and he squirmed in his seat the entire time.... :rotfl: I'd like to see Eight Below too, and Freedomland.

I would hit the video store and rent Walk the Line. Its better than anything at the theatre right now. I did not like Brokeback mountain. I thought it was really boring. I know I may be in the minority on that one.

Another vote for Eight Below.

I am a crier at movies. I will say that I got a little teary eyed at the end ... but this was not a bawler movie, imo! It certainly didn't ruin my day -- I went out and told all my friends to see it. That person must be super, super sensitive if she cried through the whole movie!

Honestly, I thought it would be boring ... I mean, come on ... dogs lost in Antarctica? How will this be interesting?! Well, let me tell you, I was very surprised at how interesting it was!!!

Saw Walk The Line at the movies, and it's now out of DVD. Best movie I've seen in ages, and I'm not a Johnny Cash fan.
FireWall with Harrison Ford was predictable. but enjoyable also.

We we ended up at Blockbuster. We rented Lord of War with Nicholas Cage and Jared Leto...where did he come from...those eyes  . We also rented the IMAX film about the Space Station and Flightplan with Jodie Foster. We watched Lord of War which was NOT what I was expecting but very good and the IMAX, which was also good. We'll watch Flightplan sometime today.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll see Brokeback with some friends and probably wait for Eight Below to be on PPV. I've never heard of 16 blocks...I'll have to look for it.

Thanks again!

I saw Eight Below twice this week (once w/MIL & once w/DH & the kids) and I LOVED it. I cry very easily & I really only got a little teary at the end of it. I would recommend it to everyone!
