booking a room only for the room only discount, using AAA to get a good deal? Are you able to add on things such as the tix and dp, later? If you can't add on tix, do you just buy them separately? I geuss I'm just wondering if it's worth it to get the room only w/aaa to get a good deal. Thanks popcorn::

If you call Disney directly, you can only use your AAA rate on a room-only reservation-no DDP, tix, etc....

If you book through your AAA office, you can get a discounted price on your MYW pkg. It's the only way to get the AAA rate on your room and add the DDP/tix.... we saved over $300 on our upcoming trip going through the AAA office and in years past saved quite a bit doing room only reservations through CRO before we started using the DDP. I would also buy our tix separately when we did the room-only reservations :thumbsup2

So when I do through Disney w/room only, the ddp/tix cannot be added on at a later date? Or will I just have to purchase tix separately and still not allowed dp? And even booking entire pack through aaa does not seem like more savings if doing room/tix separately?

If you have room only, you can probably purchase your tix through Disney though not part of the MYW pkg... they can put them on your room key... you cannot partake in the DDP if booking through Disney AND keep your AAA rate.... part of the stipulation with the DDP is that you have to pay "rack rate" in order to get the savings of the DDP....

So, the only way to get a discount (if there's not a code available at the time you're going from Disney) is to go through the AAA office. It was hard for me this year to relinquish all my control to my TA in as far as my hotel/DDP/tix since I am a complete control freak and usually change my reservations numerous times :rotfl: but doing so while using a TA would cost me $$$ in penalties  Luckily, my TA is a former CM of mine (when I was with the Disney Store 12+ yrs ago) so she is absolutely awesome and knows her stuff :thumbsup2
