Two weeks ago I went back to 2-wheeled transport when I bought this 2002 Kawasaki ZR-7.

I've had my full license since 1982 but not owned a bike since 1985 so I was a little apprehensive about getting back in the saddle again. I needn't have worried though, because after the first couple of miles it felt like I'd never been away! Wondering now why it took so long to rediscover the freedom a bike gives! Now all I need are a few race meetings to attend. Are there any other Dis-bikers out there who'd like to show off their steeds? Looking forward to any replies (and NO bike bashing please!).

lovely machine John  very sexy.

wish I could say yes to a Bike Dis Meet but unfortuantely gave it all up years ago

No stabilizers or anything John! :thumbsup2

Sorry, that doesn't count as bashing does it?

I had a bike when I was 18, passed my test on a Honda CB250, but then got too cold and bought a car!
It frightens me that, having passed my test, I could go out and buy one of the 1000cc monsters. I'd have a very serious accident rather swiftly!

There are 3 guys in my office who ride bikes and they are forever going on ride-outs and track days etc.

Congratulations, John. Sleek bike.

Have you heard of the Route 66 bike challenge that's done to raise money for the Temple Street University Children's Hospital in Dublin? Surely some of those riders are from the North. http://www.route66.ie/fundraising/index.php Might consider doing it--traveling the road famously traveled by Lightning McQueen in Cars. Laura and Caitline could fly into Tulsa and we could wave you on as you approach the half way point just to the West. Think about it.

Very nice John,

Gavin had a bike for a few years but sold it to get a deposit for our first house. He will def' have another one day :)

Wow! Looks like I'm the only one then, at least among the UK community! I feel rather unique now! :thumbsup2 :moped:

:woohoo: :woohoo: Congratulations on your new Toy :woohoo: :woohoo:

DH had to sell his bike to finance his own business, but he's itching to get one again.

In fact we're off to the local Triumph dealer for a test ride next weekend :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :cool1:

Nice bike.

I want to get another bike but at the moment its not feasible as I have only recently changed my car.

I hope when I get a place of my own I will get one. My mate has recently bought a Triumph TT as her 1st bike.

I really like the Triumph Daytona myself.

That Route 66 challenge looks fun, I could be tempted:goodvibes
