Are there any digital camcorders that.....

Will allow you to take several short clips but play them back all as one ON the machine?

The old tapes allow you to rewind and just play the entire thing on the machine in sequence....

Is there any camcorder that allows this? So far I can only play each segment independently. I realize I can download the entire thing and edit to play together, but am curious if any machines actually have this feature in digital?

Mine plays onc clip into the next without pausing. Its a Canon Vixia HF100 HD. Its really small and lightweight. The only thing I don't like is there is no viewfinder so you have to use the screen. This makes it tough when you are using it places and don't want to disrupt those sitting behind you (like my daughter's ballet recital).

I have a JVC everio (it's about 2.5yrs old) and ours plays everything back until you press stop.
I like ours, it's super easy to use and pretty easy to burn the videos to dvd.
