at Epcot?
They'll still take everyone to Norway after Illuminations because the ride is an "after park close" experience. And because there are party CMs with light sabers stationed all along the pathway clearing and redirecting Guests off the right side of the promenade going from the party venue to Norway, it's not a problem. They've had lots of practice doing it.Just know that on a normal not stormy July 4 night they probably will want you to ride the ride before the fireworks because it is pretty much impossible to go against the exiting crowd to get to the ride.

Yes we did it last year and it was worth every penny. It didn’t open for booking until quite close to our trip. It stormed that evening and we were inside with the party and open bar and they let people ride the frozen ride over and over as much as they wanted because the fireworks were delayed over an hour. 10 min before the show they walked us through the crowds and tonour huge area. Almost everyone was on the rail with completely unobstructed view. Just know that ona normal not stormy July 4 night they probably will want you to ride the ride before the fireworks because it is pretty much impossible to go against the exiting crowd to get to the ride. They took us through the fast pass line. I didn’t care but some people were really mad about that. Of course the storm made it a moot point since people got way more than their money’s worth.
Do you remember what the event was called? I'll make sure I keep an eye out or it. We probably won't be pulling into the resort until like 3 am on July 4 so Im thinking we can sleep in, hit the pool and relax and just head over to Epcot that evening. I'm sure it gets busy and Im expecting some crazy crowds and wouldn't even thinking about it unless I had some party to get me out of the madness.
That was very a strange and unique party night. There was a lot of ad-libbing going on. I heard all about it the next day and a few people took some heat because of some of the decisions that were made. Your party experience was not the norm and hopefully it won't be repeated anytime soon. Much of the regular party routine was disregarded because the party was moved indoors and because Illuminations was delayed. If you should happen to do it again and it goes as designed, it'll be as I described.Actually July 4 they said they wouldn’t be doing that. They said it was going to be too difficult to go after the fireworks. They took us through before the party. Some people were very angry so they did relent and say they would take them after the party but most went before. But with the storm everyone got to go during the extended party after the park closed while waiting for fireworks. After the few people complained maybe they won’t try taking people before the party again but that really did happen. I know that isn’t normal but it was what happened July 4 this past summer.

I know her very well. Worked with her a lot at the SW dessert party. Really nice person and so easy to work with. She's having to cope with some serious physical issues and I felt bad that she ended up being the leader, especially that night. It's not her normal assignment.I also really felt like the supervisor woman (British?) was very kind.
Yes I am. Did it about two months ago.Are you retired now Fastpasser?
Kinda enjoying it, but I still feel like a fish out of water. If so hope you are enjoying yourself.
It happens so rarely that I do remember that night. Again, lot's of ad libbing. That's when the steins were handed out at the viewing area and I had just brought them to Center Stage, in the rain. Because the show was delayed, I had to return to the viewing area, in the rain, and bring the steins back to the Launch Bay, in the rain. And because I had to push the cart, I couldn't have an umbrella. Ahh, good times, I do miss them.when we got stormed out of the Star Wars show after the party on my daughter's Birthday 10/1 a few years ago and you brought the big bin of steins inside.
Here's a Twilight Zone moment. I'm pretty sure the Leader that worked your FEA party on the 4th was the same one that was at the SW dessert party. What's up with you, her and bad weather? We definitely have adventures at our dessert parties lol.
