Are there any car rental places at DLR Hotels or nearby??

I looked at Hydroguys wonderful thread but I didn't see any info on car rental places near DLR. I would like to tour around So Calif for a few days and end at DL. So I would need a car when we arrive at LAX and probably get rid of it when we are at DL. Any suggestions?? We are a family of 5 and would need a minivan.

I believe there is in Downtown Disney, I think it might be Avis. I know there is a car rental agencies on Katella also

Yes, there are several! We did this a few years ago too! I think we went with National because they had the best rate. It was about a 15 min walk, but that's not too bad

If you do a google search "car rental near Disneyland" you will see all the options.

There is an Avis in DTD over towards DLH but every time I have walked by there it always seemed to be closed so need to check the hours and car availability.

There is also an Avis on Katella down towards Manchester. I have used this one before to turn IN a car that I had rented up north but never picked one up. It seemed small so not sure about the availablity of cars. But I am sure there are prob others as Echie mentioned. Those are just the two that are closest that I know of.

Many (if not all) car rental companies will charge you a fee to drop off the car at a different location than where you picked it up. I know when we rented with Herts a couple of years ago they charged us $80 to drop the car off at LAX after when we picked it up at SAN.

Also... You may find car rental locations at other hotels... I know Hertz has a presence at the Anaheim Marriott across Katella... You could easily return the car there and walk back to Disneyland!

Will this be extra from what they quote you? I just reserved from Alamo picking it up at DL, and dropping it off in San Francisco, but didnt see where it said anything about extra to drop it off.

I'm pretty sure the charge would be shown in the quote. I have rented cars all over and if there is a charge to drop it off somewhere other than where you've picked it up, the charge has always been shown on the quote.

When I rented a car at LAX and dropped it off near DL I was not charged an extra fee. So I guess it depends...
