Are there any 'bad' rooms at AKL?

We always request a room near the lobby and its very convenient. There are some rooms further away but nothing too far (in my opinion), and its all inside which is great.

Are you in the Lodge? There are a few absolutely terrible rooms that overlook the walkway to the bus stop. You can stand on your balcony and carry a regular face to face conversation with the people on the walkway. Avoid the giraffe trail if you book an accessible room.

Not as far as it is at BWV. Kidani does have a bit of a walk, but there are elevators along the corridors that take you down to the parking lot below the building.

Why is your mother worried about noise in the accessible rooms? What's giving her that idea?

I'm not sure, apparently there were online reviews which said the accessible rooms were noisy and this has unsettled my mum and dad. I haven't read this myself but they are very anxious about not sleeping well, especially my dad as potentially he has 14 days of pushing a wheelchair and although he is in good health he is reaching the age where a good night's sleep is necessary. My opinion is that even if it is noisy I would rather be able to access the bathroom!
