Are there any "bad" car rental companies?

I have a reservation with Alamo with a good deal. Any problems with this company? I know I've had issues with my local Enterprise offices with cleanliness of the vehicles, not getting the vehicle I reserved, etc. so I avoid them as much as possible. Are there any really bad offenders @ MCO as far as rental car companies? I would like to know who to avoid and who to embrace. Thanks!

Really, the worst thing about Alamo is the long line. It seems to be the busiest car rental company at MCO.

Oh, pooh! I'm sure it's because of their pricing. I found a reasonable deal with them using my Costco membership. They were the best deal I could find. I signed up for quiksilver. Shouldn't I be able to by pass the line since I'm a member? If not, I'm going to pay for more so I can get out quicker. I'm already coming in late and packing only a carry-on so I don't have to check luggage so I can be on my way. We arrive at 8:30 p.m. and I was hoping to be pulling into YC by 9:15-9:30 p.m.

We have used Hertz (the best when I can find a reasonable price).
Otherwise it's Budget or Enterprise.
Although popular on these boards - I will NEVER use Alamo again!

I, too, have found Alamo to have the longest lines. But if the line on the A side is bad, check out the B side as it might be almost non-existent there. Another thing I don't like about them is they tend to be the pushiest on the supplemental insurance, going so far as to try to trick you into buying it. There is one agent who says, "Do you want the deluxe insurance package, or just the basic?", conveniently leaving out the fact that you don't have to take any at all. But we've rented from them a lot simply because we've gotten them via Priceline with very good rates. The cars themselves are fine.
