I put in my request for high floor theme
Park view. I always like to plan that I will not get my request so I won't be let down when I get something I don't want.

It depends on what you consider a BAD 1 br. Some people might consider a room on the ground floor a bad room, possibly even a 2nd floor room. Some of the rooms overlook the pool, I read a report where the poster was disappointed with this view, but the young men in her party really appreciated it! :rotfl2: Others have reported a view of the Redwood Challenge Trail and loved it while other hated it.

If you are checking in early, there is a chance they can move you around if there is availability.

Good luck! Regardless the rooms are really great no matter the view. I'm sure you'll have a fabulous time!

It is hard to say. I would definitely keep the higher level request. We were there about a month ago with a theme park view. However, because we were on the second floor, you could only see the wall and construction of goofy's flight. I know it is fixed now, but the view was definitely not spectacular. Other views I know look over the parking lot and DLH hotel. I kind of like that view, but I'm sure that others would be disappointed. I think the pool area is beautiful so that wouldn't bother me either.

Those views are from hotel rooms. The Villas are only a part of the new wing and can only have views on three sides. The DLH and Parking Lot are not visible from any of the Villa rooms. However a 2nd floor room will have very little view, same for a ground floor room.

I think as long as I don't have a view of a wall I will be happy. I really wouldn't mind which view if it didn't cost me so many points (336)and This will probably be the first and last time in a 1 br.we just splurged because we had a fully loaded resale contract. 3 more days until our first visit to our new home!!! I can't wait!

We had a ground floor 1BR at VGC last spring and loved it. While we couldn't "see" World of Color, we were close enough that the sound was excellent! And, as a VGC guest, we were able to view World of Color from the top floor observation deck which was even better of course.

Our first trip to VGC we had a ground floor room facing Redwood Challenge Trail. The patio was larger than the balconies and although I didn't try this, I think we could have walked directly from our patio to the pool. I thought this was really nice. It was also nice to be able to get to the room without stairs or elevator.

On our second trip to VGC we also had a Redwood Trail facing room on the third floor. It was nice to look out of the balcony and see the trees and hear the "birds".

I'm not sure what a bad view at VGC would be.

Famous last words! I smell an add on coming, it's VERY hard to go back! :lmao:
