I was reading on another website that there are Handicap Accessible rooms located in Rapa Nui and Tokelau first floor rooms. Please tell me there are CL rooms in Hawaii that are accessible too.

I would like to upgrade to CL, if/when a code comes out for October. TIA Maggie

I've heard there are no roll in shower rooms in the CL building at the Poly. So if you don't need the roll in shower the CL might still work for you.

It's been a big disappointment for others that they don't have the roll in showers available on every level of room. It hasn't affected me yet but I'm sure I'll have to compromise sometime and I won't be happy.

No the roll in shower is not necessary. I have a couple of reasons why an accessible room is desired. #1. I will have an ECV during our stay. I hear that the regular rooms can be a bit tight with one of those, so I wanted to make sure that it would be ok. #2. I need, not want, but need a hand held shower head. When I asked my AAA agent about the shower head, she said that I would have to book an accessible room in order to get one.

Thanks for the information. I would love to upgrade to CL, but without more of a deal than what AAA has to offer, it's just not happening. Maggie

The Poly does not have any accessible CL level rooms. Their solution is to let someone stay in Rapa Nui, quite a distance away, and have a keycard that allows them access to the CL lounge in the Hawaii building, which to me is totally unacceptable. If you don't need a roll in shower you might want to talk with special services or email guest comm at WDW to ask if you can be provided with a hand held shower system. Others have said they did provide a transfer bench for the tub. The rooms at the Poly are quite spacious and you should have no trouble in a regular room with an ECV, in fact the h/a rooms really aren't larger per se, but have a different configuration to allow for access to the bathroom area. In some instances it means the space inside the rest of the room is smaller due to that extra bathroom space being necessary. Hope that helps!---Kathy

I was reading on Tikiman's site that the shower head issue could be resolved with a simple request, but my AAA TA said that you had to book a HA room in order to get one. :confused3

I would love to stay in the CL and I admit that the idea of staying in one building, with a key card to visit the lounge in another sounds totally dorky. I am going to have to do a bit more research on this issue. Thanks for the input. Maggie
