Hi!
I have been going crazy trying to decide what to do!!! Our trip isn't until May 30- June 6, 2007 (it's a good thing) but I'm the type loves to plan. I have a "room only" reservation for the same time at Disney World that I have booked with AAA. I am going to cancel that ressie as my family and I have decided to try Disneyland for the first time!!! We have always wanted to but some how we just ended up at Disney World each year. Here's my problem... I have the sweetest most wonderful AAA agent there is and I have asked so much of her with the Disney World reservations that I hate to take my trip from her completely. She has been out of the office because of a personal issue so she doesn't even know I've made the decision to change to Disneyland. I have asked her to price a package (when she returns) at both the Disneyland Hotel and Paradise Pier, but if it's going to be really expensive we would have to switch to one of the Good Neighbor hotels.
Can I use AAA to book a package at the Candy Cane Inn? If so, are the little "extras" included in a AAA package if the hotel is offsite? I realize we wouldn't get the "enhanced fastpass" but what about all the other stuff like the lanyard, early entry, Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness, etc.? I apologize for such a long post but I didn't know where else to turn. Thanks so much for any info!!! :goodvibes

I plugged your dates in our aaa website and yes, candy cane inn is a good neighbor hotel. Yes, you do get the little extras in a AAA pacakage regardless of hotel (except for enhanced fastpass, but it seems you're aware of that. You do get the lanyard, pin, early entry, toontown morning madness, luggage tags, etc.)
I'm not sure what size your party is, but i plugged in May 30 for 7 nights, 2 adult 7 day hoppers. The candy cane inn is showing up as $1286 and Paradise Pier is showing up as $1643. Apparently pricing is not the same at all aaa travel so your number may be different, but here's a rough estimate.

Oops: these quotes are for May 30, 2006 staying for 7 nights.

AAA does book the Candy Cane, however they are not taking reservations for next year yet.

I don't seem to be able to do anything this far in advance and that's really the pits!!! I mean if Disney World allows "room only" reservations 500 days out why doesn't Disneyland? That way I could at least book my room and then change it to a package when those are released for 2007. My super wonderful AAA agent is back in her office now after a few days off so she's supposed to get back to me tomorrow with what she was able to find out. If not for her and you terrific DISer's here on the boards I don't know what I would do!!! Thanks so much for all you replies I really appreciate them. :thumbsup2
