Thinking to our WDW days, 'Ohana's bread pudding is one of my family's favorite desserts. Are their any must-have desserts anywhere at DLR? I'm a sugar junkie and can't wait to get my fill!!
Well...since you asked....
At the Paradise Pier Hotel, in the PCH Grill restaurant, they serve the Kitchen Sink (also served at WDW), which is the ginormous sundae with something like 10 or 12 scoops of ice cream, all kinds of toppings, candy bars, brownies, cookies, whatever - everything but the kitchen sink. And it is served in a 'kitchen sink' bowl!!!
Then, over at the Carnation Cafe on Main Street in DL, they serve the yummy Matterhorn Sundae, which, I think, has 4 scoops of ice cream (though the one I shared with friends only had 3, for some reason), whipped cream, toppings, etc. In fact, it is a real treat to be able to go to Carnation, order the Matterhorn Sundae and a piece of their delicious apple pie a la mode (which comes with whipped cream and strawberries as well as ice cream) and a couple of coffee drinks, share the desserts with friends and just soak in the atmosphere.
The Blue Ribbon Bakery has delicious, ooey gooey, messy cinnamon rolls and all kinds of other pastries.
I think the gingerbread men cookies with mouse ears are served year round at the bakeries and candy stores.
Rainforest Cafe serves the Volcano ice cream concoction.
Blue Bayou in NOS used to serve the famous Flying Dutchman cookie boat dessert, but it is gone and there is no immediate sign of it returning.
Golden Horseshoe serves a big, honkin' slice of chocolate cake called Mile High Cake.
I guess Tigger Tails are considered dessert.
If you go during either Halloweentime or Christmastime, there are all kinds of seasonal goodies around (like peppermint cupcakes, pumpkin fudge, etc.)
I will keep thinking.....
