i never really paid attention before but i'm going solo in a few weeks so i'm curious since i want to do both of those attractions at RD.

if it is open then i should just walk right past the line of people that starts forming down the walk way when they don't open the standby line right away and walk up to the single rider line correct?

i don't want people to act like "what is she doing?!?!"

I'm not sure what you mean about them not opening the standby line right away. If the park is open, they don't hold people at the entrance to a ride.

I rode TT single rider at park opening last week. The single rider line is open if the ride is open.

As soon as the park opens the ride lines are open, regular SB and single rider. When we went to TT last year there were a couple of single riders in hte SB line near us. They just put them in the cars as they came to the loading station. I don't think the single rider line is necessary until the SB line get long. Have a great first solo trip!!!

Based on my experience, the answer to the question is "usually, but not always". We have been at the rides right at opening when the single rider lines haven't been open, but that hasn't been the norm.

obviously thats not always true since i've been a number of time when for TT and RNRC especially they have held us up for up to 5 minutes before allowing people into the line.

I've never seen a standby line closed at park opening unless they've had a delay getting the ride online for the day. Perhaps that is what you encountered.

As for single rider lines- we've seen them open at RD, and we've seen them closed until the standby line built up. YMMV. Either way, at RD your wait would be minimal.

But, but, but you don't get to design your car in Single Rider TT! *gasp*

We didn't to it at rope drop but my DS and I got in the single rider line at RNRC last trip and were so excited to walk past a whole line of people. Then I think it took just as long to wait in that line...I was thinking it was like TT with 3 seats across but it only has 2 so a lot of lines of cars went out without ain't single riders. We definitely waited at least 45 mins if not an hour. Wish I had just gotten in the regular line and gotten to sit with my DS!
