Are the Star Wars charcters only out durining Star Wars Weekends?

We aren't going to WDW until next month ( ) & I would love to have the kids pics taken with some of the charcters. Any chance?

not usually... i have never seen any of them there. only during star wars weekends...

but maybe once and awhile they might have something out in front of star troopers that they could take a pic with, like r2d2 and 3cpo...

Our last trip at WDW (November '04)...R2D2 was in the parade at MGM. He would roll right over to people on the street. My 6 year old has gone Star Wars crazy, so I really hope he is in the parade while we are there in January. Good Luck!!!

In late April, we saw Leia, and Darth, while in line for Star tours. They were mingling w/ those, waiting in line to board, during the preshow. When we left the ride, they were out front, for photo ops.

We saw Chewbacca and some Ewoks outside of Star Tours, in November one time.

We rode Star Tours with Darth two years ago in December. We had a picture taken with him in the hallway on the way out.

We are leaving on Monday...will they be out at MGM because of the Star Wars weekends?

The Star Wars characters aren't out often. So, if you see them-- I'd grab the opportunity as it's pretty rare.

They do have R2 and Darth walking in the parade. I have some really great pictures of them coming right towards us.

I always go in July and I've seen Chewbacca several times and R2D2, C3PO, Darth Vader, Princess Lea, and Luke Skywalker in the afternoon parade.
