Are the reopen dates after refurbs reliable?

Lights Motors Action is supposed to close for refurb 9/16 and reopen on 9/20. How reliable do you think this 9/20 reopen date will be? We planned to see it 9/17 before the refurb was announced, and are looking at a major overhaul of our itinerary to make it work to be at MGM on 9/20. Suffice it to say, we will be some disappointed puppies if we gave up F! dinner packages and Le Cellier dinner to find out LMA was STILL closed on 9/20....

Is Disney *very* good about reopening when they say they will (or earlier) or are they prone to the same delays as the rest of the world and that reopen date is a target, not a promise?

Yes, they're reliable. Sometimes. Usually. Not always, but most of the time.

Or not.

Actually, they're pretty good about it, but things do come up that might delay the re-opening. Living Seas is an excellent example, but some attractions have been delayed a day or two as well. Then again, sometimes they open a day or two early.
