just read on another board that the parks are more buzy than usual, due to some fairytale package/discount. is this true!!! cant believe it, iv've really palnned this holiday, banking on it being quiet. has any one heard anything, or just got back. having paniced abit, it realy makes no odds i'm still going, just hoped i wouldnt be queing very long.

They also had a big press event in the parks last week - the official opening of Mission Space in Epcot and Wishes in the Magic Kingdom, but it is true that the success of the Fairy Tale vacation package has meant the parks are busier than they might have been. They are usually busy late October with Hallowe'en etc - what are your trip dates and are you staying on-site?

We just got back on Sunday. Last week we visited MGM Studios, Epcot, Universal and IOA. Out of all of these MGM was the most crowded (much more than usual at this time of year). Tower of Terror wait time was as long as 80 minutes! The other parks mentioned were fine. The queue for Mission Space (Epcot) was generally 20 mins at the most, which is less than I expected for such a new ride.

Don't worry too much about the crowds.... you'll still be in Florida! :D

From my observations last week, the usual patterns are distinctly awry. The Extra Magic Hour park each day is definitely busy, but MGM was very quiet on the Friday and even the MK was not as busy as usual on the Tuesday. There ARE more people than you'd expect in October, but they don't seem to be overwhelming the parks (apart, as I say, from the early entry park of the day).

going 26th oct for a fortnight, inc mnssh, staying at asmo. am in a quandry now had planned to do ak mon and poss mk, oh the worry of this holiday!!!!

Mandy since you are on-site, go to the early entry park and when/if that park gets busy late morning, hop to another park. Regards MNSSHP, if you can stay until the end, late evening you'll find a lot of the families with youngsters have left and should be able to get on the rides without much of a wait :) So pace yourself for the early part of the evening and enjoy the rides later on!

Hi
Just got back on Weds, Been in Oct before and also sept and Nov. We were really frustrated by the crowds this year. I was expecting the crowds to be quite quiet but it was awful some days. 120 min wait for winnie the pooh and buzz lightyear. Never ever waited more than 10 mins before, thats why we choose to go in Autumn. Been really put off so plan to go in Feb or March next time. Having said that we were in Disney so still had a fab time, as I am sure you will. Avoid EMH days at all costs.
