Are the new monorails in service yet?

Just curious. I'd read they were having trouble getting them in service. I'm going to Anaheim this weekend and would love to see the new monorails if they are running.

Honestly I dont think they are. Al Lutz did a very recent article on it and they just brought in a new piece of the monorail. They will be taking some time to do some attaching to the tracks and to the other cars and doing some major test runs before it will be allowed out. Then again I could be totally wrong. But I am sure thats what was said.

DarkBeer just posted pics on his website of Monorail Blue being placed on the beem just this past friday (4/11). It is covered up, but you can tell blue is there! Yay. Monorail red has been having successful test runs as of late. I heard there is a chance it could be taking passengers *very* soon. I don't want to post the link, but just do a google search for DarkBeer, and you will see some nice photos of the new monorails!

Fingers crossed (dare I say PIxie Dust?) that they are in service in the very near future... Not like I won't be back later this year though.

I looked at the pictures, yeah, looks like Blue is in the house.

Wonder if they'll be running before the end of May? That will be our first (and maybe only) visit to the West Coast of USA.
