Are the lockers big enough for carry-on luggage?

DH is in Orlando right now for a conference and I am joining him on Friday evening. We plan to spend all day Saturday at Disney. We're starting to think that we should head back to Disney on Sunday for a few hours. We don't want to get up early (we are roping dropping and staying all day on Saturday) so we're thinking we would get there around 10:00 or 11:00 and we would need to leave for the airport around 3:00. The problem is that we will have to check out of our hotel in the morning (not on site) and we are trying to avoid checking our luggage with concierge at our hotel as that would require us to taxi/Uber back to the hotel and then to the airport. This would add additional expense as well as require us to leave the park around 2:00 which squeezes our time.

All that being said...are there lockers big enough to fit luggage? We will each have a carry-on size luggage and a backpack. If so, would there likely be lockers available at 10:00 or 11:00? If not, do we have any other options on what to do with our stuff? We're not sure yet which park we would do. We're rope dropping MK on Saturday and then going to Epcot in the afternoon before going to Cali Grill for dinner. So maybe one of the other parks? Or maybe MK again?

Tell me about it. DH and I always used them, used them Labor Day. Went to use them a couple weeks ago and they are GONE! Asked the bus drivers stationed nearby (yes, the BUS DRIVERS) and they are the ones that told us the closed them about Labor Day. Since we know when we used them it was easy to know #1, the drivers really did know something this time and #2, the time frame of when they closed them. We had to shlep back to the resort to leave our bags

These are the ones by the bus stops? That’s a disappointment. I didn’t know they’d been removed. We used to use them when doing a split stay as they were large enough for carry-on luggage where we kept our swimming bag so we could go to the pool between the park and when our luggage transfer arrived.

Have you considered staying onsite for Saturday night? I would totally do Contemporary or Poly for the one night!! especially since you are spending the entire day Saturday at the park!! Call for the AP discount!
This would also give the option of the Magical Express to the airport!

Rent a car for the day and leave luggage in the car. Then you have transportation to the airport.

I read somewhere else that you couldn't so I just assumed that was the case. On Saturday we are putting a backpack in a locker all day because we will need to change before going to California Grill on Saturday evening. I asked about leaving our bag at The Contemporary and was told that we couldn't do that if we aren't staying there.

Correct, if you ask that is always the answer. When I said "can you" I meant literally, not officially. They'll take them from anyone because they do not ask for a room number or verify your name as a guest before they take the bags.
