My friend returned from a w/e in WDW. She was very disappointed to find the castle lit in "dark" colors. I mentioned maybe it was for halloween. She said her DD told her no, that it is always like that now. Also she said the twinkling lights on alot of the trees were not on in large enough areas that is was very dark. :confused3 I felt bad she was disappointed. She doesn't get to go very often at all.

Can anyone confirm these two things?
1. Lights on castle - change (like kiss goodnight, but all night long) with "dark" colors.

2. twinkling lights in trees gone (or alot fewer anyway)?

thanks

A few years ago, they did upgrade the lighting on the castle, and added a lot more color effects than there used to be, ranging from deep dark colors to bright ones. (I wonder if the bright colors don't look as bright now that they have painted the castle in beige tomes instead of the older bluish-white tint?)

When they started running 'Wishes' for the fireworks show, they trimmed back a lot of the trees in and around the hub to allow folks a better view of the castle; since the trees are smaller, there are fewer lights in them, but they still look much the same.

Thanks.

SafetyMom, I appreciate the pictures, but...I want to go.
