What day are they supposed to be up? Anyone have anything to report as of yet? :)

They're going up now. They should be completely up by Friday. So far, the decorations I've seen are really cute.

We are heading to Disneyland in 1.5 weeks for my son's Wish Trip, can anyone tell me what the decorations look like. I was hoping to see just Disneyland, so I was bummed about the land being decorated...... :confused3

the lamp posts on main street have their decorations up and there is a HUGE Micky pumpkin right when you come in as well :D

Wasn't it awesome!!! I loved what they are doing with the decor!
And there are fall colored swags and banners, tons of fall plants and flowers, and the letters outside CA look like candy corns. It looks really cool, I can't wait to get back in a few weeks!!

Wow, your description makes me want to be there so bad. I miss DL!!

Andrea, would you be so kind as to take a few pics when next you go? It would mean a lot to all of us stuck here in the Midwest pining away for DLR!!

On another site there is a poster named darkbeer who visits the park almost every day and snaps pictures of what's going on. He's got a lot of pics of the decorations that are up so far.

Here's the link to the thread where he posts the daily updates.

And here's yesterdays pictures

I think you will be happy with what they have done. They have no plans to overdo it. Mostly fall leaves and pumpkins. Most of Disneyland will appear as normal. Hope you enjoy your time with your son.

Above the entrance gates to Disneyland, there are giant pumpkin looking characters--Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. I think everything is supposed to be up by today. We were there through Wednesday, so we only saw some of the decorations. The lamp posts are fun and so is the giant pumpkin. The CALIFORNIA letters just outside DCA have Candy Corn stripes, the A's are giant Candy Corns. We went on Splash Mountain and my husband thinks there were extra pumpkins in there (as you go in the first room where they sing "How do ya do" there are 3 pumkins stacked next to the first bird on the right and the top one is a jack-o-lantern).

The decorations look so cute! I am very excited about this, my bday is on Halloween. :thumbsup2

I am so excited about our first trip to DLR at Halloween. We are going for our DD's 12th birthday. She has no idea when we are going. Her b'day is on Halloween. I have tickets to Mickey's Halloween Treat, great PS's, we are all set! Now for the countdown!!!

We just got home. It's adorable. The girls love the decorations. I love that they did fall and Halloween in a fun and Disney kind of way. The decor is VERY well done. We were quite impressed.

We didn't get a chance to see the villian show, but heard it's a keeper. We did see Jessie and Woody.....lets hope they keep working on it LOL. My girls thought it was great.....but it was like a poorly run church carnival :rotfl2: and alo]t of the staff in the ranch are obviously new. Actually, quite a few people throughout the parks today were obviously new.

Hi All!

Just spent a wonderful night tonight (9/29) for the kickoff of the holiday season at DL. The NBC overlay of HM is complete, and I think that Halloween is getting the justice it deserves this year at the park.

Main street buildings are decorated in fall colors and there are pumpkins in many windows and ledges. The 50th lamps are no more, but now have the Halloween Time promo. Where the giant christmas tree usually goes is the great mickey pumpkin. The beloved giant flower mickey right behind the turnstiles are now decked out in fall colors and is wearing a mask. The California sign in front of DCA has candy corn for the A's heh.

Since it was dark, didn't get great pictures, but just wanted to place them here so all can see. Hopefully others can add to this, since I wasn't able to catch the spirit of Halloween entirely...

Enough of my banter, here's some pictures. I chose not to post directly in order to conserve bandwidth. Please enjoy.

Thank you so much for posting these makes me so excited that we will be there in leass that 48 hours

Thanks again

Thanks so much for sharing! Love the pumpkin mickeys displayed on Main St.! :goodvibes

Love Minnies costume! We were there today too :thumbsup2 I agree, they definatly did well with this. We thought it was just adorable.

The Disneyland Resort does have a very high employment turnover rate, but they all gotta start somewhere! :smooth:

I think as a first year offering, the HalloweenTime decor (at DL) is really pretty nice.
Years ago, the Merriest Place on Earth decor started slow, and then fireworks and HMH and IaSWH really brought in the Guests, and then the next year New Orleans Square and Towntown got even more decorations and then a little more, and a little more, year by year, and now -- wow!!

HalloweenTime will grow.

Tonight was pretty crowded.
I think Disneyland has another winner, with HalloweenTime.
:thumbsup2
