We stayed at the GF last year from 11/5-11/10. They were in the process of assembling the gingerbread house when we left. Based on that, I would venture to say that you're more likely to see the completed structures (they do them at BWI and BC, as well) toward the end of your trip.

All the Deluxe resorts have something in their lobby. Yacht Club has an amazing train setup for instance. You should definitely see GF, Boardwalk, Beach Club and Yacht Club.

I like the sound of this! Resort hopping day :)

How about the Poly? AKL? or Contemporary?

i stayed at the GF last year the first week of December and it was up. It was SO pretty and the smell of gingerbread when you entered the lobby was amazing!!

I think the majority of the decorations at those resorts are really awesome trees and garlands. Wilderness Lodge is amazing and beautiful, the tree goes to the ceiling practically. I'm assuming AKL is the same concept. All of the decorations are themed to the resort too, so they are all beautiful.

Yes, all Deluxes have a different setup; EPCOT's hotels, and the MK hotels. Yacht, Beach, Boardwalk, GF, Contempo... and I can't remember what Poly has tho... I think it focused on "general" decor, like trees and wreaths, flowers, etc...

Resorts get decorated after the parks. Gingerbread house usually completed more toward last week of November at GF.

We were there during Turkey week last year and the gingerbread house opened on the 19th and the great lobby tree was put up during the night of the 24th. CR does have a gingerbread display but it is nothing like the one at GF. First 2 pics are from GF and bottom is CR's.

We went the week before Thanksgiving in 2014. I was disappointed that so little was up in the resorts, on previous trips there seemed to be more up. That year the Gingerbread house wasn't even finished in GF. The CM told us that the resorts are not completely done until after Thanksgiving.
