Are the BWV's the only DVC that doesn't have a refillable mug station?

Just curious after our recent trip - are the BWV's the only DVC resort that does not have a refillable mug station?

We were fortunate to be able to stay at two different DVC's our last trip. Both SSR and BCV have a very nice refillable mug area. My teens (and myself) love this feature in all of the resorts. I grab my coffee in the morning and walk around waiting for the others to get up. I know I could make it in my room but there's something about getting up and out. My teens love getting a hot chocolate at night.

Now to the Boardwalk - we love our home resort but they have a mug issue! If you do buy a mug here you have to go to the bakery or poolside and they give you a cup which you dump into your mug :confused3 I hope someday they turn the small gift shop in the lobby into a grab and go type area. We really loved this at both BCV and SSR. Does OKW and VWL have refillable areas?

VWL always has one

OKW and BWV don't have one. In both cases you have to ask someone to refill your mug.

BCV only got one with the latest make over.

We own at BWV and VWL. Three things I LOVE about VWL - :thumbsup2
Refillable Mugs
A nighttime kid's club
A snack bar

Three things I GREATLY MISS when I stay at BWV: :guilty:
Refillable Mugs
A nighttime kid's club
A snack bar

I DON'T get why BWV doesn't have these things. They used to have the Harbor Club for kids, but they closed it. It's a PAIN to have to take my nephew over to the Sandcastle Club at BCV when we stay at BWV, but that's the closest place. He likes a night of "kid time" each trip, as he is an only child. I think he really just likes the 3 hours of unlimited video games. Hey, it's cheaper than the arcade!

I always thought BWV didn't have room for a snack bar, but I never thought of the gift shop off the lobby! GREAT idea! We sometimes just want to grab a bite after a long day at the parks and take it to the room. They at least added the hotdog/corndog cart a few years ago out on the Boardwalk. But I'd like to be able to get a "to go" salad, or some of the other things offered at the VWL and BCV snack bars.

I KNOW we'd buy mugs and use the snack bar if BWV would add them! Hey Disney - you could make more money! I just DO NOT get it! :confused3

Hey, I just thought of something! When we were at BWV 2 weeks ago I peeked into the door where Habor Club used to be, and it seemed to just be sitting empty. Why not make THAT a snack bar WITH a refillable mug station?
Hello? :listen:

Where was the Harbor Club? That would certainly be a great idea!

The gift shop off the lobby is pretty useless. If there's 3 people in there it's crowded and there isn't much of anything in there to buy. It really would be more useful as something else.

The Harbor Club was down on the boardwalk level, but not OUT on the boardwalk. It was directly under the Boardwalk's lobby.

If you're coming in the Boardwalk's front door, from the valet area, the main front door, walk straight through the lobby (under the big horse chandelier) and out onto the big porch that faces the water and the Yacht/Beach. Go down the stairs on your LEFT. As soon as your foot leaves the last step and hits th pavement, the Harbor Club was directly on your LEFT, through a set of double doors, under the lobby/porch.

Or, another way to describe the location - If you're leaving the main boardwalk area and heading back to the Boardwalk's big porch described above, walk down the RIGHT sidewalk, as you walk towards the Boardwalk, the sidewalk closest to the main pool that passes in front of the Wyland Galleries. Instead of hanging a right to head to the main pool, arcade or health club, keep going straight and you'll run smack dab into the double doors for the old Harbor Club.

I have no idea if they're using it for anything, but it certainly didn't look like it. It is a decent sized space.

This is one thing that I don't care for when staying at the BWV. You have to wait in a (usually long) line at the bakery just to fill yuor mug, especially in the morning. They could easily put a station in a section of the Screen Door.

I am with the OP, I just love getting up in the early morning, filling my mug and watching the World wake up! :sunny:

As a BWV owner - I love the idea of a grab N go, but HATE the thought it could be right there in the lobby! YUKKKKKKKK! How to ruin all that ambiance!

Put it down on the first floor where the arcade and gym and laundry are and we have a deal! Maybe where the Harbor CLub used to be!

I have heard you can get refills in the lounge in the BWI also. Getting them in a cup from the Bakery doesn't bother me at all.
