Are Target's Disney Gift Cards reloadable?

Is there a separate Disney GC that are reloadable and non-reloadable?

Are the ones from Target reloadable? Is anybody recycling the $50 gc from Target? It seems that if we are buying $1000 worth, that is 20 cards. So after we are done with our trip, we don't need the cards anymore, right? Is anybody reloading them?

Has anybody tried to reload them at a higher increment then $50?

I went to a TomThumb in an upscale part of the city. TomThumb is Safeway or Randalls. Well at this location, they had the exact $50 Mickey gift card that Target sells. Then next to it is was a $15 to $500 Disney Princess gc. At the back it has the same info as the $50 Mickey gc. (I didn't have my reading glasses but the spacing and phone number looked the same so I really could not read it word to word)

Can I take that Disney Princess gc and go to Target to load for $500 with my redcard? I'm looking at disneystore.com gc faq:

"Where can I reload my Disney Gift Card?

Disney Gift Cards can be reloaded at most locations that sell Disney Gift Cards. DisneyStore.com cannot reload Disney Gift Cards or DisneyStore.com Online Gift Cards at this time."

DH is not at all keen on carrying 20 gift cards. Since we can't consolidate, I want to try reloading at higher increments using my redcard at Target. Is this doable?

I've never heard of anyone doing that and did not think the Disney cards sold at Target were the reloadable type. Or if they are, I thought you would have to do it on the phone or online, not at Target. My DH works at Target and said he's never heard of that happening.

I have seem the card that you can load with different amounts at Walgreens. But I am not sure if you can "reload" them there.

My guess is that they are talking about stores in the parks/resorts that sell giftcard.

I have recycled Disney gift cards but only reloads I've ever done have been on property or at Disney store.

I don't think the target ones are reloadable, but what I want to know is can you purchase a higher increment card at the Disney store using the target Disney gc? I mean...can I buy 10 $50 gc with my red card and use them to buy one $500 gc at the Disney store? Has anyone tried this?

I asked the same question about taking the Target Disney to the Disney store. You cannot buy a Disney gift card using another Disney gift card. My local Disney store will not consolidate my Target gift cards.

You may be able to reload the Disney gift cards purchased at Target by calling the number on the back of the card.
